AIPA has officially launched, in person.

On August 24, we hosted our first face-to-face meeting in Red Deer, Alberta. Independent pharmacy owners and board members came together to build alignment, exchange insights, and shape the next phase of advocacy across the province.

We discussed strategies for engagement, public visibility, and long-term goals with one clear message:
🗣️ Alberta’s independent pharmacies deserve to be heard.

Thank you to everyone who showed up, shared openly, and committed to this movement.

AIPA’s work to empower Alberta’s independent pharmacy owners is gaining visibility. In this interview, President Radwa Ghanima highlights how recent policy changes have placed small and rural pharmacies at risk despite their critical role in frontline, patient-centered care.

“These aren’t just businesses,” she says. “They are community anchors. And they’re being overlooked.”
